I love an elopement, and this one at the iconic Inn at Perry Cabin was the most serene and beautiful. This sweet couple opted for a private ceremony at the beautiful Maryland Inn in lew of a big celebration. They chose to forgo the wedding party, hustle and bustle, and extravagant party in favor of a romantic evening watching the sun go down together. A year later they celebrated again with friends and loved ones!
An Intimate Summer Elopement
Every detail of their day felt timeless and elegant. The bride wore a stunning crepe silk gown with a modern bodice and an off-the-shoulder sleeve. It was so perfect for the location, and she looked so beautiful. She paired it with a bit of sparkle on her Badgley Mischka heels. But, my favorite of all of her bridal details was the pear-shaped emerald earrings she chose. They were such a beautiful compliment to her auburn hair and just the right touch of glam. She chose faux flowers to have her favorite, Lily of the valley. Her bridal portraits are some of my favorites from the day.
The groom also had a few unique details, and I loved his custom duck cufflinks. He opted for a toast before the ceremony with a spot of vintage Van Winkle whiskey to celebrate. I loved how at ease they both were during their entire day, a major perk of a small ceremony.
They eloped under the Maryland trees on this gorgeous late summer evening before heading to the waterfront to watch the sunset in their private greenhouse. The intimacy and calm of their entire day is something I will remember every time I see their wedding gallery. I love that they chose to savor this time together in a place they both love. There’s just something so special about an elopement, and it was a joy to be part of their day.
