Blake and Skye’s Plaza wedding day was everything you would imagine from a NYC elopement. This day was the perfect mix of modern elegance and glamor set in this timeless hotel. If you’re considering your own elopement, you know we have a soft spot for The Plaza. We love shooting weddings and engagement sessions here, and this one was a treasure of a day.

NYC Elopement Style Wedding in Central Park

Blake and Skye wanted to create a wedding day that felt classic but intimate. They skipped many of the typical bells and whistles of modern weddings in favor of something more laid back and personal. However, they didn’t leave out any of the details. Skye’s gown was truly remarkable, and we had so much fun documenting the moment with some playful flash bridal portraits. Their suite was such a fun spot for bridal portraits.

Next, we took a quick moment to take Blake and Skye’s first look before portraits in the elevator and around the hotel grounds. These were some of my favorites from the entire day, and I loved how they were able to just relax and soak in the moment.

An Intimate Central Park Wedding Ceremony

The couple exchanged vows with their closest family and friends in Central Park near the water. After the ceremony, we made our way to some of my favorite parts of the park for more couple portraits, including one of our new favorite bridal bouquet moments. Skye’s bouquet, made of white orchids and dahlias with a hint of blue, matched the frescos perfectly.

We also made sure to add a few classic street portraits walking through New York. This Plaza wedding day was super chic and minimalistic, and we couldn’t have loved it more!
