We are keeping things cozy this week and sharing a handful of images from our recent adventure to Devil’s Thumb Ranch, Colorado. Who doesn’t love a good travel feature once the weather gets chilly?
Colorado is one of my favorite places in the US, and we had the most amazing time there. The drive into Devil’s Thumb Ranch was nothing short of epic. I had such a great time capturing these dramatic landscapes. There’s no better way to capture the beauty of a place than with the tones and range of film.
As a destination wedding photographer, I love being able to refresh and fill my creative cup through travel. I’ve found it’s one of the best ways to stay inspired, and I love the excuse to bring my camera out just for fun. Of course, almost all of my daily client work is dripping with inspiration, but I do love the freedom to play while taking in the sites on occasion. Plus, being exposed to new places is such a lovely way to infuse new creativity into my client work. It’s a win-win! Travel has always been my biggest inspiration, and I love that my work takes me all over the world.

We had the most incredible stay at Devil’s Thumb Ranch last month. I’m already daydreaming about being back in Colorado for a work trip in the summer.
Aspen was also an incredible experience, and I had the best time keeping my radar on all the inspiring Aspen wedding venues! Can’t you envision the most stunning elopement with these mountains as a backdrop? I’m already compiling a list of my must-visit wedding venues in Colorado for our next visit.
