As a lover of travel, it doesn’t get much better than spending a weekend as a France wedding photographer road-tripping around this stunning country. We had the most wonderful time exploring the Normandy region before heading to Paris for the weekend!
This beautiful autumn week in October was the perfect time to be a little adventurous. We rented a car and made our way across the region. We started with the cliffs of Etretat and the stunning coastline. After a brief hike up the giant hill, we enjoyed our lunch by the sea. The weather was absolutely perfect, and we had the best time watching locals jump into the brisk waters.
After Etretat, we made our way to our hotel in Honfleur. This little French harbor had the most beautiful colors. The boats looked so beautiful on film in the late afternoon light. It made for such a sweet place for an evening walk to dinner.
As most of you know, I deeply love flowers, and we found the most amazing little shop, Acanthe. It was one of my favorite stops on the trip.
Next, we explored Monet’s garden in Giverny. I was truly amazed by everything that was blooming in October. The pink and yellow dahlias were such a treat on a foggy morning. It was really special being in a place that inspired so many awe-inspiring pieces of art, and I can’t begin to tell you how much inspiration I’ll be drawing from that space for years to come.
Finally, we ended our adventures with a weekend in Paris. It’s one of my favorite places in the world, and sharing it with my mom made it even more special.
I can’t wait to return to France soon to explore new exciting little corners. I’m convinced the best way to see Europe is by car, and I’m so grateful to have recently added so many beautiful new favorites to the list!
