Being a Hudson Valley wedding photographer feels a bit sweeter with views like these. Not that it isn’t pretty sweet already. It was such a treat being with these two and their favorite people for their laid-back wedding day.
Hudson Valley Wedding
Emma and Ian said their “I dos” at a beautiful venue, a private barn, and tented reception. It was the coziest day, and we all couldn’t stop smiling throughout the entire day. There was so much joy, and you could tell just how excited they were to start this new adventure together.
Emma kept things simple and sweet while getting ready and chose to have her family close to help her with the final details. She wanted a small reveal with her bridesmaids, and they were all so sweet when seeing her for the first time.
Skipping the First Look
Ian and Emma chose not to see each other before the ceremony, and he had the sweetest reaction to her coming down the aisle. I’ll take genuine reactions over something forced any day, but I love when the emotions come flooding during those more intimate moments.
After they exchanged rings and vows, we had a bit of fun with the wedding party with portraits. The whole wedding party was lighthearted and easygoing the entire day. We followed up with couples portraits in some of my favorite locations at the venue. The property was so beautiful, and Hudson Valley did not disappoint.
We ended the night with a gorgeous tented reception and dancing. The feel of the decor was Bohemian and just as laid back as the rest of their day. They chose lanterns leading to the tent, which was the coziest addition. I loved how they added to the romance of the day as the sky got darker.
