I (Hope) recently had a lovely family trip out west and wanted to share some of the adventures in case these spots are also on your bucket list. I hope they inspire you to get out there and maybe even try a roll of film or two on your next trip!
Montana Film Photos
There’s a bit of magic that comes with receiving film scans back from the lab. The delayed gratification of not seeing images immediately after taking them adds an extra layer of nostalgia to each frame, and no matter how many rolls I shoot, the feeling never gets old.
This trip to Montana, documented entirely on film photography (with the exception of a few obligatory iPhone selfies, of course!), promises to be a trip we will never forget.
Paradise Valley, Montana & Yellowstone
Our journey began in Paradise Valley, nestled between the charming town of Livingston and the awe-inspiring Yellowstone National Park. Imagine waking up each morning in a cozy cabin, surrounded by breathtaking mountain vistas and the promise of endless exploration. Paradise Valley truly lived up to its name.
Livingston itself was a delightful surprise. This postcard-perfect town oozed with Americana charm, transporting us back in time. Wandering down its historic main street, we stumbled upon quaint shops, friendly locals, and a captivating sense of community.
We eventually made our way to Bozeman, a vibrant and dynamic city nestled in the heart of Gallatin Valley. Bozeman was a delightful contrast to the tranquility of Paradise Valley. We loved the energy!
Everywhere we turned in Montana, there were breathtaking landscapes perfect for documenting on film! From the stunning peaks of Yellowstone National Park to the rolling hills of Paradise Valley, Montana’s natural beauty left us speechless for most of our visit.
This trip solidified my desire to explore more of this country’s stunning scenery. Rocky Mountain National Park has officially been added to my bucket list, and I can’t wait to embark on another film-filled adventure in Colorado!
