This beautiful New Orleans engagement session was so fun to photograph. It had the perfect mix of saucy details, a fantastic location, and the most delightfully romantic couple! Plus, New Orleans is always a fabulous time!
A New Orleans Engagement Session
Who doesn’t love the idea of a destination engagement session? These two chose the busy streets of New Orleans. The hustle and bustle of the city was the most fantastic background ambiance and made for such a fun day of shooting.
We started our session in a cozy bar with the most romantic and moody details. These images were some of my favorites from the day! The bar had the most beautiful tones and colors which pulled out the details in the floral bouquet designed by Kim Starr Wise. She pulled together some of the most vibrant and moody blooms, and they were absolute perfection! They even complimented the architecture of the French Quarter, which is where we made our way next.
We took a stroll through the French Quarter and stopped at some landmark locations – including Cafe Du Monde. Did you really even go to Nola if you don’t have fresh Beignets from Cafe Du Monde and breakfast at Mother’s? The cafe made the most adorable, busy location. I loved how these two didn’t have a care in the world other than being together to celebrate their love!
Finally, we went to the cutest coffee bars and set up shop at one of their bistro tables. I love these images, especially the warm, lush floral bouquet against the classic bistro chairs. The bright ribbons were so pretty with the chairs and complimented the architecture along the way. The colors were the perfect backdrop and lovely with the bride-to-be’s black dress. I love that these two chose to keep their wardrobe super classic so the locations could shine, too!
It couldn’t have been a more perfect day. I honestly can’t wait for another visit to this bustling, interesting city!
