Princeton Engagement Session with Jennie & Thomas

Nov 3, 2023

Today, we are bringing you another gorgeous engagement session on the blog. This Princeton engagement session with Jennie and Thomas in the garden was the perfect way to spend a morning!

A Princeton Engagement Session

One of my best kept secrets, college campuses can be one of the prettiest unexpected locations for an engagement session. Typically, they’re manicured beautifully and often have little gardens tucked away that are perfect for engagement sessions.

Princeton University just so happens to have both, including Prospect Gardens on campus!

Jennie and Thomas could not have chosen a more perfect spot! The garden was overflowing with late summer flowers that offered the perfect little corners to tuck away from others walking on campus.

We had the best time walking around campus and talking about their plans for the future. I loved that the weather was a little overcast, which gave everything a beautiful, romantic mood.

Jennie chose the prettiest blue and white floral dress, and I loved the subtle nod to a bridal look. These two are tying the knot at one of my favorite wedding venues on the East Coast, Jasna Polana! The entire HHP team is looking forward to their big day and celebrating them!

Choosing Your Engagement Session Location

There are several factors to consider as you plan your engagement session. Once we’ve decided on a date (I like to schedule engagement sessions approximately 6-8 months before the wedding), it’s essential to dig deeper. You can read all about planning out your aesthetic here

The next thing to consider is styling and planning. This session is the perfect opportunity to share a bit more of your story through imagery, and they’re a great way to ensure your story is told in a unique way.

Last but certainly not least is your location! Your location for your engagement session can make all the difference. If you aren’t big on public displays of affection, it’s essential to choose a space that is in alignment. It’s another great way to tell your story, like where you met!
